Pride is a hot topic these days and it’s important that companies support the community in an authentic way, instead of just capitalizing on the trend with rainbows.

Here’s some of the best Pride fashion campaigns from the last month that speak loud and proud.

Fossil Limited-Edition Watch

To celebrate Pride Month, Fossil released a limited-edition watch where 100% of the proceeds go to the Hetrick-Martin Institute, an LGBTQ support foundation that educates, advocates for, and offers direct services to LGBTQ youth.

“Hetrick-Martin Institute believes all young people, regardless of sexual orientation or identity, deserve a safe and supportive environment in which to achieve their full potential.”

American Apparel Pride Collection

American Apparel puts its money where its mouth is by donating 100% of proceeds from their Pride Collection to the Los Angeles LGBT Center’s Trans-Cosmetic Donation Drive.

“Transgender people—particularly trans women of color—experience higher rates of poverty and unemployment, impeding their ability to purchase personal hygiene and cosmetic products.

Because of this need, the Los Angeles LGBT Center distributes new personal hygiene and cosmetic products, donated by businesses and individuals in the beauty industry, to low-income transgender and gender non-conforming people.”

ASOS DESIGN

Their massive 50-piece Pride collection was created in collaboration with, and with 100% of profits going to, GLAAD, the LGBTQ media group that “tackles tough issues to shape the narrative and provoke dialogue that leads to cultural change.”

ASOS was also a sponsor of this year’s LA Pride.

Harry’s Shave With Pride Set

This shaving kit, with special-edition box designed by illustrator Jose Roda, benefits The Trevor Project with 100% of the proceeds. Harry’s has also stepped up with a $200,000 donation to the same organization to help train their mental health counselors.

According to their website, The Trevor Project is the “leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning (LGBTQ) young people under 25.”

Converse Pride Collection

Converse’s collection benefits partners the It Gets Better Project and OUT MetroWest with proceeds from their fun designs. Converse has walked the walk on Pride for years with a history of community activist support, the use of gay and transgender models, and Pride collections since 2014.

“Converse is committed to supporting movements for positive social change and amplifying youth voices as they spark progress to build the future they believe in.“

DIFF Eyewear

This charitable eyewear company teamed up with Queer Eye star Jonathan Van Ness for 4 gradient Aviator designs. The company donates a pair of reading glasses to someone in need for every pair of glasses sold, in this collection or not.

“Since 2015, DIFF has donated over 1,000,000 pairs of reading glasses to individuals in need around the world — that’s only the beginning of it. Socially conscious and charitable at heart, the DIFF Eyewear family strives for the perfect pair – handcrafted with designer quality materials and delivered to you with love.”
